| Research Abstract |
There are six facilities of CATV in Tohoku district, today. But many facilities encounter much difficulties to achieve their aims. They fall into financial slump and are urged to change their business policies.
Its main cause is the lack of interesting TV-programs. Therefore, there appeared low audience rating and little numbers of CATV contracters.
The local information society is not emerged only through the introduction of new-media. It needs higher contents of local informations.
According to the resuit of our research on CATV contracters in Hanamaki,Kesennuma and Itinoseki cities in Tohoku district, the informations about familiar issues, local administration and local industry are on the basic level of the local informations.
And, medical care, welfare, culture and history in the local community are on the second level. On the third level are the informations about disaster.
Those contents of the informations are very important to promote the developments of the local information media. The CATV must bind itself with those information contents.
