Research Abstract |
1. The object of this study shall be clarify the relation between merger and business growth in Japanese cotton spinning companies --- DAIWABO Co. Ltd., FUJI SPINNING Co., Ltd., KANEBO Ltd., KURABO INDUSTRIES Ltd., NISSHINBO INDUSTRIES, Inc., SHIKIBO Ltd., TOYOBO Co., Ltd. and UNITIKA Ltd. --- after Meiji. 2. To achieve this object, materials---company histories and annual reports--- of those 8 companies and merged companies were researched and collected. 3. By result of this research, company histories and annual report of 8 companies were found out, but those of merged companies could not be found so many. 4. Materials on those merged companies and merger could find out from the newspapers published by a newspaper office in region of merged companies existed. 5. I was subject to restriction on budged, time and materials, so I chose KANEGAFUCHI SPINNING Co. (Presently KANEBO Ltd.) from 8 companies as an example. 6. I studied on purpose of merger and merged, conditions of production and financial activities, etc., so now I could find the following facts. a. There are various reasons of merger, for example catching up with merits of large scale, achievement of goal of business at that time, etc. b. There are various necessity of company, abandonment of the right of managment, etc. 7. I reported a monograph titled "Merger and Operation in the Cotton Spinning Company---Example of KANEGAFUCHI SPINNING Co., in the First Half of 30's in Meiji---'.
