Research Abstract |
The purpose of this project is to carry out the social anthropologicalstudy on the childbirth and childrearing customs of Western Oceanian Peoples.Western Oceanian Peoples means the ethnic groups including the native people of Taiwan the Philippines and Indonesia.who belong linguistically to the Austronesian or Malayo-Polinesian family and share similor cultural traits.The aim of the scholors involved in this project is to analyze various aspects of birth customs and kinship behaviors.
