| Research Abstract |
In the present research we have developed a ^1H NMR system with an optimum capability of detecting weak ^1H NMR signals of a variety of molecules dissolved in H_2O. With collaboration of the group of Bruker Japan, it became possible to develop a system, which gave a quite satisfactory lineshape of the water signal. A significant increase in the dynamic range and the signal to noise ratio have been achieved. The present NMR system has been proved effective in the ^1H NMR measurements of metabolites in in vivo systems such as HL-60. It was also effective in the measurements of ^1H NMR of proteins with a large molecular weight such as immunoglobulins. The present system has successfully been used to perform 1D and 2D multinuclear experiments on the immunoglobulin system in H_2O.
