| Research Abstract |
1)Mercaptoundecahydrododecaborateによる脳腫瘍の治療:
平成2年3月末(平成元年度)迄に総計104人の脳腫瘍患者を治療した。今年度内のみでは、武蔵工業大学原子炉の不調の影響もあった6名に終ったが、好成績を収めつつある。6名のうち2名は京都大学原子炉を使用した。
2)Mercaptoundecahydrododecaborateによる脳腫瘍以外の悪性腫瘍の治療:
頸部の未分化癌の1例がリニヤッタ(加速器)による照射治療後、化学療法にも拘わらず再増大した末期状態の患者の例で、右鎖骨上窩の腕神経叢と血管を腫瘍が圧迫し、激しい癌性疼病に悩まされたため、本人の強い希望により中性子捕捉療法を行った。腫瘍は劇的に縮小し、疼病が消え、本人はおおいに感激し癌と闘う気力を得るという効果があった。この患者はすでに全身転移があったため化学療法による全身衰弱のため死亡したが、硼素中性子捕捉療法の効果は顕著であった。
3)Boronophenylalanineによる悪性黒色腫
三島らが、本年度末迄に8例を治療した。
4)BTPP(ポルフイリン誘導体)の動物実験:
カリフォルニア大学Kahlから提供されたコ-ド名BTPPを、ヌ-ドマウスの骨肉腫でオ-トラジオグラフィ、化学分析などで検討中である。化学物の提供が予定より遅れていたため基礎研究はまだ端緒についたばかりというべきではあるが、腫瘍中濃度が正常臓器に比して有意に高く、今後本格的研究を予定している。
