Research Abstract |
According to the research project planned in 1988, we carried out i) fundamental experiment of the present analog amplifier, and ii) design and fabrication of the amplifier. The following results are successfully obtained; 1) Fundamental experiment of the present amplifier We proposed a new scheme for input coil to increase the conversion gain, which utilizes the kinetic inductance of superconducting thin films. We demonstrated this scheme experimentally by obtaining conversion gain as large as 100. 2) Design and fabrication of the amplifier We designed an analog amplifier which incorporates the new input coil and evaluated the performance of this amplifier. We successfully demonstrated that the current noise of this amplifier was less than 100pA/ ROO<Hz> , which means that the proposed amplifier is a low noise and high gain one as expected.
