高速量子プローブを用いた微小系の電子輸送ゆらぎの研究

Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
本研究では、半導体微細構造を活用した微小系を用いて、微小系における電子輸送、ゆらぎ、ダイナミクスの測定、解明を行った。本年度は特に高速量子プローブを活用した微小系における局所電子状態のダイナミクス測定、量子微小系の局所電子状態測定を中心に実施した。 微小系における局所電子状態およびそのダイナミクスは、物性科学等の基礎科学やエレクトロニクスデバイス等の応用の両面から重要となっている。この微小系における局所電子状態について、高速量子プローブを使って引き続き測定し、またその結果の解析を行った。半導体量子ドットからなる開放微小系について、局所電子状態の測定を実施したところ、局所電子状態が電極との結合に依存してマイクロ秒程度の時間スケールで変化する様子を観測した。さらに半導体量子ドット中の局所電子状態の時間変化の詳細を調べたところ、トンネルの低次の過程と、高次の過程による電子状態変化をミクロな観点から解明することができた。 また高速量子プローブで開発してきた測定手法は、古典微小系だけでなく量子現象が発現する量子微小系に対しても適用可能である。量子微小系は量子エレクトロニクス、量子情報処理等に向けて近年、注目を集めており、本研究では高速量子プローブの技術を活用して量子微小系における局所電子状態測定を行った。この結果、量子ドット内状態の高精度操作、多重量子ドットにおける電子状態操作の実現等に貢献した。
