Outline of Annual Research Achievements

動的スパースモデリングの理論を精密化し,高速の最適化アルゴリズムを提案した.この研究成果は,制御分野におけるトップジャーナルであるIEEE Transactions on Automatic Control や Systems and Control Letters などで発表された.また,国際共同研究を推進し,Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (india), Paderborn University (Germany), Texas University at Dallas (USA) など様々な研究機関と共同研究を行った.また,国内でも東京大学や産業医科大学などと動的スパースモデリングの生物学および医学への応用に関する共同研究を推進した.
さらに,動的スパースモデリングの理論から派生して,離散値をとる動的システムのモデリング法について絶対値和最適化という新しいスパースモデリングの方法を提案し,制御系設計や信号処理システム,無線通信などに有効であることを示した.これらの成果は,トップジャーナルであるIEEE Transactions on Automatic Control や IEEE Signal Processing Letters,またトップコンファレンスである IEEE CDC やIEEE ICASSP, IEEE ICC などで発表された.

Reason

動的スパースモデリングの理論構築は大きく進展し,ジャーナル論文や国際会議論文としての成果も順調に出ている.また東京大学との細胞運動の共同研究や産業医科大学との医療画像に対するスパースモデリングなど,共同研究も順調に進んでいる.さらに,インド工科大学ムンバイ校を始めとする海外研究機関との国際共同研究も大きく推進した.以上の理由からおおむね順調に進展していると言える.

Strategy for Future Research Activity

今後は動的スパースモデリングの生物学および医学への応用,特に細胞運動の動的スパースモデリングや医療画像のノイズ除去と高精細化に重点を置き,動的スパースモデリングの研究課題を高いレベルで解決する.
