Outline of Annual Research Achievements

π共役ポリマーからなるマイクロ光共振器の構築と、レーザー発振特性の発現を実現した。球体共振器に関しては、赤外発光を示す共振器の形成、および球体形成メカニズムについて詳細に検討し、それぞれ論文発表した。また、球体からのWGMレーザー発振に関して、論文発表を行った。さらに、π共役デンドリマーの自己組織化に関する研究を進め、ポーラス結晶の形成とガスや蒸気の吸着特性、それに伴う発光特性変化について論文発表を行った。
特に、5-8月は、ドイツ デュイスブルグーエッセン大学物理学科のAxel Lorke教授の研究室を訪問し、我々のグループで作成した有機結晶や高分子マイクロ球体の顕微分光測定による、光共振器・レーザー共振器としての特性評価に関する研究を行った。また、9-12月にかけては、ドイツ ハイデルベルグ大学化学科Uwe H. F. Bunz教授の研究室を訪問し、π共役デンドリマーポーラス結晶の溶媒蒸気吸着特性と、吸着に伴う蛍光特性変化二関する研究を進めた。11月13-14日には、新学術領域としては初の試みとして、国際シンポジウムを海外(ハイデルベルグ大学)で行った。
海外留学期間中、ヨーロッパ各地の大学や研究機関を訪問し、のべ22回のセミナー講演と研究ディスカッションを行い、新たな共同研究について模索し、既に6件程度の共同研究を新たに進行中である。また、当研究室の学生計5名を1-2ヶ月間ドイツ デュイスブルグーエッセン大学、および ハイデルベルグ大学へ派遣し、共同研究を進めた。さらに、その期間中に、イギリス ケンブリッジ大学、ドイツ ライプニッツ光学技術研究所(イエーナ)にも短期で派遣し、共同研究を進めた。

Reason

計画していた通り、研究を進めることが出来た。また、予想外の結果がいくつかでており、それらについても論文発表を行った。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

自己組織化マイクロ構造体の基板表面への周期配列構造の形成、発光ON/OFF制御、WGM Splittingなど、作成した共振器の特性制御と刺激応答材料としての機能発現に関して研究を進める。
