Outline of Annual Research Achievements

インフレーション宇宙を起源とする原始ブラックホールの形成モデルに関して,様々な観点から研究を進め,いくつかの新しい知見を得た。以下はその主な成果である。
1.原始ブラックホールの質量が小さいとホーキング輻射によって蒸発してしまい,現在の宇宙に痕跡を全く残さないと思われていたが,ブラックホールの空間分布の揺らぎによる2次重力波を考慮すると,既に蒸発してしまった原始ブラックホールの生成量に対しても,有意な制限が付けられることを発見した。
2.原始ブラックホール生成の新たなモデルとして,インフレーション宇宙におけるスカラー場の振動的不安定性による揺らぎの増幅による機構を提唱した。また,その揺らぎに付随して発生する重力波が,2030年代に打ち上げ予定の宇宙重力波望遠鏡LISAの感度より十分に大きいことを示し,LISAによってこのモデルが検証できることを示した。
3.インフレーションが弦理論が予言するマルチバースにおいて起こっていると,その様々な真空状態間の量子トンネル現象が起こり,スカラー場のポテンシャルの形状によっては,この現象によって原始ブラックホールが形成されることが知られていた。このモデルに基づいて,現在の原始ブラックホールの存在量を評価したところ,原始ブラックホールが宇宙論が抱える多くの問題を一気に解決する可能性があることを示し,それが近い将来,すばる望遠鏡による重力レンズ観測で検証できることを示した。

コロナ禍のため,対面での研究集会を行えなかったことはハンディキャップであったが,代わりにオンラインでの議論をこれまで以上に頻繁にすることによって,国内外の共同研究者との共同研究を順調に進めることができた。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

これまでに発見した原子ブラックホール形成機構のさらなる定量化に加えて,新たな形成機構やその観測的検証に関する研究を引き続き進める。
本研究計画の遂行には,国際共同研究が欠かせない。現在はオンラインでの議論を中心としているが,コロナ禍が収まり次第,研究打ち合わせのための海外出張や共同研究者の海外からの招へいを行い,今後の研究の方向性についてより突っ込んだ議論を行う。
