低次元酸化物ナノ材料の高次構造と機能の融合

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

高次に構造設計および制御された低次元酸化物ナノ構造体を、自己組織化的に多様な基材表面へ直接形成させ、低次元ナノ構造と材料物性とを共生させることで優れた環境調和機能や生体適合性などの多機能を獲得した構造-機能融合マテリアルの創出とその機能応用を目的とした研究を実施し、以下の知見を得た。
金属Tiおよび合金を化学処理することで表面に得たポーラスナノネットワーク構造では、ナノシート構造表面のリン酸およびカルシウムイオン吸着量は低い一方、比較的高い温度で処理し、ナノチューブ(TNT)を主構造とした表面で高い事を見いだし、リン酸カルシウムなどの易析出性など生体適合性表面を構築する指針を得た。
紫外線照射中のラジカル発生量を電子スピン共鳴(ESR)により測定した結果、照射単位面積当たりの活性酸素ラジカル生成量は通常の光触媒であるチタニアナノ粒子に比較して大きく、熱処理で更に向上させることに成功した。
特異な低次元ナノ構造-物理光化学機能共生に基づく融合マテリアルの創成へ向け、多層CNTをコアとしTNTをシェルとした1次元コアシェル型ナノコンポジット創成に初めて成功した。このナノコンポジットではメチレンブルー(MB)有機色素吸着特性に優れると共に、紫外光照射では優れた光触媒分解特性を示すなど、低次元異方ナノ複合構造の優位性を実証した。
チタニアナノチューブの格子構造レベルでの制御を元素固溶法により行い、固溶型TNTでは純粋なTNT同様に高いMB色素吸着特性を示し、特に2種類の元素固溶TNTではより著しいMB吸着特性を認めた。更に可視光照射条件下でも高い光触媒特性を示し、化学組成および特有な層状化合物状の結晶構造などに由来した効果と考察し、格子レベル融合により極めて優れた環境機能が融合したナノマテリアル創成に成功した。
