Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本領域研究の5年間の融合研究で得られた研究成果を広く学界に周知し,新たな学問融合分野を社会・教育に還元することを目的として, 次の4事業をおこなう:(1) 学術専門誌での特集号の発行,(2) 国内シンポジウムの開催,(3) 学部や大学院での教科書としても利用可能な普及書の出版,(4) 一般向けシンポジウムの開催.
日本地球化学会の国際誌Geochemical Journalに代表者の香内,分担者の橘および海外の関連研究者をゲスト編集者とした特集号(Evolution of molecules in space: From interstellar clouds to protoplanetary nebulae)を刊行した(Vol. 53, No.1, pp.1-90, 2019年1月発行,7編の論文を収録).特集号に掲載の全論文をオープンアクセスとした.
分担者の橘がコンビナーとなり,2018年5月に開催された日本地球惑星科学連合大会において「宇宙における物質の形成と進化」セッションを開催し,18件の研究が発表された.
本領域研究の推進により得られた成果,ならびに新たに芽生えた宇宙分子進化に関する新たな融合学問領域を社会に周知し,次世代の発掘も目的とし,大学生や大学院生の教科書や副読本としても使える一般向け書籍を出版する計画であった.しかし,出版社との交渉がうまくいかず,北海道大学低温科学研究所が出版している「低温科学」に特集号を2019年度中に出版することとなり,計画班員および公募研究者に原稿の執筆を依頼した.
代表者,分担者,連携者の所属機関などで,一般向け講演会や一般向け体験実習を開催した.具体的には,原始惑星系の観測,はやぶさ,はやぶさ2,彗星などに関する話題や,暗黒星雲(分子雲)での氷の生成や彗星が太陽に近づく時にできるイオンの尾を再現する模擬実験をおこなった.
