Outline of Final Research Achievements

We planed to organize an international meeting in 2020 and also planed to internship between 4 research institutes at Germany, China, Canada, and Australia. However, due to the COVID19 pandemic situation, we decided to quit the meeting as well as internship. Instead, we organized ZOOM-based meetings within the neuroscience fields. In this ZOOM meeting, 1-2 young researches briefly presented their own research data in English and participants gave them constructive feedback. In general, these events seemed to be well-accepted but the participants and audience.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

コロナ禍において人流が大きく制限されたときに、どのようにしてサイエンスの活動を確保し、さらに新たな方向性を見出すのか、という取り組みが問われる一年間であった。我々の研究班は、様々な試行錯誤の後に、ZOOMによる活動を選択し、そのアクセスの良さを利用して、新たな取り組みができたと考えている。パンデミック後には、リアルとオンラインのハイブリッドという方向性が強く出てくると予想されるが、この一年の経験や試行錯誤は、今後ベストの方向性を目指すときに、大きな指針となると考えている。
