Outline of Final Research Achievements |
We set up six research groups. Achievements of these groups are as follows: A01 analyzed human mtDNA haplotype data of Japanese provided by Genesis Health Care, and found the inner dual structure. A02 determined ancient genome data of Jomon, Yayoi, and Kofun periods, and found various types of admixtures from these genome data. A03 determined various animal and plant genomes, A03 determined and analyzed animal and plant genomes such as mice, bear, and buckwheat. B01 studied languages especially Japanese and Ryukyuan dialects, B02 studied archeological data especially determine ages of archeological sites using C14 dating method, and finally B03 analyzed human and nonhuman genome data. Other than these six research groups, we also solicit small research groups B01 and B02 for two rounds of the two-year research. Their achievements include dog and wolf genome analyses, analysis of Ryukyu language dialects, excavation of some archeological sites in Kagoshima Prefecture.
