Outline of Annual Research Achievements

減数分裂では組換えにより、父親、母親由来のゲノム情報の混ぜ合せが起こるだけでなく、”新規のゲノム変動”が配偶子に生じ、それが次世代の表現型に影響を与えること（ゲノムアダプテーション）が近年知られつつある。このようなゲノムアダプテーションを介して、ゲノムの多様性が生物集団の中に生じ、長期的には新しいゲノムを生み出す言動力になっていると考えられている。本新学術領域はゲノムアダプテーションの分子レベルでの仕組みを明らかにすること、様々な生物で見られる特異的ゲノムアダプテーション現象を解析する、ゲノムアダプテーションを解析するツールを開発すること、を目的としていた。平成22年度に開始した本領域研究は２６年度が最終年度にあたる。本新学術領域の研究の進展を図ると共に、研究成果をまとめることが大切になる。特に、異分野の研究者が十分な連携の元で研究を推進した成果をまとめため、総括班が非常に重要な役割を担っている。過去５年間のまとめは、２６年度末に行った。さらに新学術のまとめを行うため、評価のための資料を作成し、ヒアリウングを受け、A-の評価を得た。また、最終国際シンポジウムとして、平成２８年３月１日から３日まで、淡路島夢舞台国際会議場で、新しくできた新学術領域“染色体OS”(代表、東大白髭克彦)と合同で開催した。外国人招待講演者に加え、若手の１０名の発表を行った。
