Outline of Annual Research Achievements

1.ロジウム触媒によるオレフィンとケトンのヒドロシリル化反応経路: オレフィンやケトンのヒドロシリル化反応ついて、ロジウム触媒を用いた場合の反応経路の研究を行った。基質として、エチレンとアセトンのヒドロシリル化について、DFT法による計算を行い、これまで提唱されてきた機構に加え、新たな反応経路として、alternative Chalk-Harrod機構とdouble hydride(DH)機構を見出し、従来提唱されてきた機構との関連性について研究を行った。特に、DH機構においてロジウム上にある複数のヒドリドの効果によって、活性化エネルギーが低下するメカニズムがあることを見出した。
2.らせん高分子反応場による不斉ヒドロシリル化反応に関する研究: キノキサリンからなる不斉らせん高分子触媒反応場が高いエナンチオ選択性を示すことを、杉野目グループが明らかにしている。我々は、この反応場におけるPd錯体のヒドロシリル化反応を例に、エナンチオ選択性の起源に関する研究を行った。その結果、触媒活性中心であるPd錯体について、トリフェニルホスフィン配位子と結合したキノキサリンユニットとの相互作用がエナンチオ選択性の原因であることを示す結果を得た。
3.再生されたルイス対による水素分子の活性化機構に関する研究: 生越グループでは、NHCとホウ素化合物からなる化合物において、C-B結合を活性化することでfrustrated Lewis pair(FLP) が得られ、水素分子を活性化できることを見出した。我々は、DFT計算を行い、FLP生成と水素分子活性化に至るメカニズムを解析し、隣接するリン酸基の回転などを経て、段階的にFLPが生成する経路を得た。FLP生成が律速段階であり、一旦水素分子がFLPの酸―塩基対に隣接すると、わずかな活性化エネルギーによって、H-H結合が切断されるという結果を得た。

Current Status of Research Progress

2: Research has progressed on the whole more than it was originally planned.

Reason

研究目標として、生体触媒やそれに類する反応場における触媒機構の解析を通し、精密制御反応場の構築に寄与することを目標に掲げている。多くの酵素においては鉄イオンが活性中心となっている。異なるスピン状態がエネルギー的に近接するため系間交差を経る反応経路を研究する必要があるが、特に系間交差点が遷移状態になる系では本質的な問題である。また、タンパク質反応場などにおいては、官能基の立体配置やその柔軟性をも考慮した構造-機能相関を明らかに する必要がある。本研究では、これらの要請を満たすことのできる理論計算手法を開発・応用する。また、当該新領域研究における研究グループと共同研究を行う。未解明な反応メカニズムを明らかにし、触媒設計の指針を提案することで、精密反応場制御の新領域開拓に貢献することを目指している。
昨年度は、系間交差を経る反応経路を研究する手法を、大阪大学・林グループの再構成ミオグロビンの触媒反応に応用し、QM/MM法を用いてタンパク質の効果を考慮した反応経路を計算した。その結果、タンパク質とヘムの相互により系間交差点の構造に若干の変化はあるものの、ヘム錯体のみで計算して得られた結果と同様の結論が得られた。今年度は、タンパク質の構造ゆらぎの効果を考慮した自由エネルギー計算によって、反応経路を研究する予定である。
また、領域内研究者との共同研究については、東京大学・砂田グループ、京都大学・杉野目グループ、大阪大学・生越グループとの共同研究について、成果を纏めているところである。以上のことから、平成30年度は、ほぼ目標を達成できたと考えている。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

○系間交差反応系の遷移状態探索と触媒設計  鉄錯体においては、複数のスピン状態がエネルギー的に近接しているため、その触媒反応の素過程には、系間交差がしばしば起きると考えられる。このような反応過程では、系間交差シーム上のエネルギー極小点MEISCPが遷移状態となることが多く、極めて基本的な構造特異点である。今年度は、大阪大学・林グループが開発した再構成ミオグロビンについて、タンパク質反応場の効果を導入し、さらに熱ゆらぎの効果を考慮した計算を行い、周辺環境が反応に及ぼす効果について研究を行う。
〇二酸化炭素とエポキシドの共重合に関する反応機構:A01班の野崎グループとA03班の依馬グループとの共同研究であり、Alポルフィリン触媒が共重合反応に極めて有効であることが見出されている。この実験結果のメカニズムを明らかにするための理論化学計算を行う。
〇金クラスターにおける脱水素化反応の機構解析:A01班の水野グループにおいて、金クラスターや金・パラジウム合金クラスターにおいて、触媒的に脱水素化が起きることが示された。今年度も引き続き研究を進め、クラスターの電荷状態に関連性、直接/間接C-H活性化メカニズムに関する理論計算を行い、反応機構を電 子論的に明らかにする。
〇パラジウムクラスターにおける芳香族化合物のC-H結合活性化機構:昨年度に引き続き、A04班の有澤グループとの共同研究により、パラジウムクラスターにおけるC-H結合の活性化できる性質とクラスターの酸化状態の関連性について明らかにする。
〇Ru触媒による不斉アリル化反応機構:昨年度に引き続き、名古屋大学北村グループによる同反応について、π-σ-π異性化を経る反応経路のポテンシャル面を明らかにし、同反応の不斉選択性のメカニズムについて明らかにする。
