Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This study has developed the synthesis, structures, and chemical properties of transition-metal polynuclear compounds under unsymmetrical environments. The successful research developments include pressure-induced molecular distortion and solid-state luminescence piezochromism of copper(I), silver(I), and gold(I) clusters, the fabrication of luminescent vapochromic crystals that adsorb volatile organic compounds (VOCs), the isolation of tetra- and hexanuclear copper(I) clusters with benzimidazole-thiol chelates and the solid-state dual emission in the visible-to-near infrared wavelength region, and the preparation of polymorphs of hydrogen-bonded honeycomb networks based on isonicotineamide (ina)-triruthenium(III) cluster compounds.
