Outline of Annual Research Achievements

原子核階層の「セミ階層」を形成すると期待される「多中性子クラスター」、および階層をつなぐ鍵を握る原子核層特有の「力」の2つの研究に挑んでいる。
1)多中性子クラスターの研究: 中性子過剰核の表面に出現が期待される4n系、6n系等「多中性子クラスター」の生成を目指している。こうしたクラスター構造を明らかにし、セミ階層構造を律する閾値則や分離度などを調べる。R1年度は、6n系構造の候補核10He生成実験に向けた準備を進め、その基幹検出器となるシリコン飛跡検出器、及び陽子エネルギー検出器の建設を進めた。並行して多中性子クラスターを構成するダイ中性子(ダイニュートロン )の研究を進め、その一環として中性子ハロー核6He, 19Bのクーロン分解反応のデータ解析を行い、19Bの成果については論文の投稿に至った。また関連して、核図表上での中性子束縛限界である中性子ドリップラインをフッ素、ネオン同位体について世界で初めて確定した。
2)「力」の研究では: i)少数核子系プローブによる三体核力の研究、および(ii) (p,pN)反応のスピン観測量の完全測定による核力の精密化という2つの課題に取り組む。
(i):少数核子系プローブによる三体核力の研究:3陽子・3中性子間の高精度測定を実現し、荷電スピン三重項三体核力を世界高感度でとらえることを目指している。R1年度は陽子-3He散乱のスピン観測量の実験値を高精度で得るために必須となる偏極3He標的の開発を進めた。
(ii):(p,pN)反応のスピン観測量の完全測定による核力の精密化: 阪大RCNPにおいて、原子核中での核子・核子 (NN) 散乱に対応する陽子ノックアウト反応を2アームスペクトロメータ系で測定する。R1年度は、偏極効果を含むシミュレーションを開発し、その結果に基づいて上流側多線式飛跡検出器 (MWDC)を設計・製作した。

Current Status of Research Progress

1: Research has progressed more than it was originally planned.

Reason

多中性子クラスターの研究:複数中性子の同時測定法、および反跳陽子検出器(全エネルギー検出器)についてそれぞれ論文を発表した。また、この全エネルギー検出器については加速器を用いた性能評価実験を行い、十分なエネルギー分解能が得られていることを確認した。以上のように実験の基盤となる検出器についての研究が進展した。並行して、多中性子クラスターの候補となる20B,21Bの発見、中性子過剰限界の決定、中性子過剰核28Fの構造決定、ダイ中性子の存在の証拠を示した中性子ハロー核19Bの分解反応実験についての論文をいずれもPhysical Review Letters誌に発表し、当初の予想以上の論文発表ができた。
少数系プローブによる三体核力の研究:陽子・3He弾性散乱の高精度測定と核力をインプットとする厳密理論計算との直接比較から、同散乱は、従来の三核子系散乱とは異なる3核子力の情報が得られることが明らかになった。特に、スピン相関係数は、藤田・宮沢型、および荷電スピン三重項に敏感な三体力に関する観測量を予測する事がわかってきた。関口は三体核力の研究の成果により、東北大学優秀女性研究者賞・紫千代萩賞を受賞した。また、本研究で行った修士論文研究が東北大学総長賞を得、さらに、東北大学の学部学生2名が日本物理学会の学生優秀発表賞を受賞した。
(p,pN)反応のスピン観測量の完全測定による核力の精密化:スピン観測量から核力を決定するには、核反応機構が十分に理解されている必要がある。そこで、阪大RCNPでの国際共同利用実験により取得した、核媒質効果が少ないと期待される40Caのフェルミ面近傍の軌道に対して分光学的因子を導出した。これを電子準弾性散乱の先行研究と比較し、スピン観測量の測定を行なう非対称角度において陽子準弾性散乱反応が有効であることが示された。
以上、いずれの研究においても成果が出ており、当初の計画以上に進展していると判断される。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

1)多中性子クラスターの研究:11Liの陽子準弾性散乱によって多中性子クラスター候補核10Heを生成する実験を行う。そのため、CsI(Na)検出器(CATANA)とシリコン飛跡検出器から成る反跳陽子測定装置の建設を引き続き進める。そのテスト実験で性能を確かめた後、10He生成実験を行う。
2-i)少数粒子系プローブによる3体核力の研究:3陽子間力の高精度測定を実現し、荷電スピン三重項3体核力を世界最高感度でとらえるため、陽子・3He反応のスピン量を高効率に測定する。このため、高偏極・高密度3He標的を建設する。実験値と厳密理論計算との比較から3体核力を精緻化する。次年度にはすでに実施した陽子・3He散乱の結果を論文発表する。更に、陽子・3He散乱の完全測定に向けた測定器系の建設を進める。並行して多核子系において主要成分となる荷電スピン1重項の三体核力を確定するため、重陽子・陽子弾性散乱測定に向けた偏極陽子標的開発を進める。
2-ii) (p,pN)反応スピン観測量の完全測定による核力の精密化:阪大RCNPにおいて、原子核中での核子・核子 (NN) 散乱に対応する陽子ノックアウト反応を2アームスペクトロメータ系で測定する。2核子を同時測定する事により核内核子の軌道を同定すると共に、有効密度が制御できる1s軌道に対して後方陽子のスピン完全セットを測定する。前方陽子のデータと組み合わせ、核内NN散乱の散乱振幅の世界初観測・決定を目指す。次年度にかけてすでに製作した上流側多線式飛跡検出器を導入し、高速読み出しシステムと組み合わせて陽子偏極度計に対するビームテストを行う。また、開発に成功した偏極効果を含むシミュレーションを深化させ、下流側MWDCの設計・開発を進める。並行して、これまで行った媒質効果が弱い浅い束縛陽子に対する束縛エネルギーや歪曲に対する効果の解析結果をまとめる。
