| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
To clarify compensatory strategies underlying abnormal posture in neurodegenerative disorders, we developed an integrated model combining neural control and musculoskeletal dynamics, validated through patient-specific clinical data. Using deep learning, we quantitatively linked DAT-SPECT brain images with postural regulation features, enabling visualization of the underlying neural mechanisms. Additionally, voluntary sway tasks with varying frequencies revealed frequency-dependent coordination strategies across trunk and lower limbs. Dual-task experiments with Parkinson’s patients demonstrated daily variations in muscle co-contraction and brain activity, highlighting real-time interactions between motor and cognitive functions. These findings provide a novel computational foundation for evaluating and designing personalized rehabilitation strategies.
