Outline of Research at the Start	天然物などの生物活性化合物に広く見られる酸素官能基や窒素官能基を配向基として活用し、低極性部位を精密変換する手法を開発する。主には、独自に開発した金属中心の求電子的活性化法を基軸として、遷移金属触媒を用いた近接部位選択的な変換法の開発に取り組む。これと並行して、配向基の概念をラジカル反応の位置制御に応用した化学選択的変換法の開発を行う。これらを駆使して、生物活性化合物の精密改変法を創出する。
