(1) In compliance with OECD-CERI Project on International Educational Indicators, we have made a great effort to clarify the problems we confronted.
(2) Although our purpose was to find attainable indicators to measure the effectiveness to which extent educational system achieved, we could not make the anticipated results. A main reason was the critical difficulty of measuring the quality in education. However, we may be proud of choosing 183 items which would be useful as candidates for educational indicators.
(3) In our final Report, we discussed the trends and perspectives concerning OECD Project, situation in USA and UK, IEA results and so on. What we are proud to point out here the completion of School Management Diagnosis Card and the use of the Card. Examples of case studies are involved in the Report in which you may enjoy its effectiveness and usefulness.
(4) We are now waiting the successful reply from the GrantーinーAid for Scientific Research administered by the Ministry of Education, Science and Culture in 1991.
