Research Abstract |
According to our survey concerned with the clothing items added with function (n=2443), it was disclosed that most people recognized the existence of discrepaney between actual conditions and an advertisement in the clerking items added with added witk special funotion. Therefore, we carried out several experiments in laboratory ix order to know whether elothing items added witk special function kave any effects on human body. Main results sould be summarized as follows : 1) Water bed was good for deeper sleep, if water temperature was seleated properly. However, if it was shosen improperly, water bed hanged fros comfortable to discomfortable bed (Tokura). 2) Reetal temperature was kept higher durirg night sleep with electrical blanket, indicating shallow sleep depth (Iizuka). 3) Usixg new equipment developed to measure skin pressure, skin pressure due to *arious kisdo of support type clothing was precisely measured (Ito). 4) It was suggested that Denier and the work of S-S curve are v

ery effective as the indexes of evalating the feeling of the rebtrietion in wearing support type panty stocking (Ohno). 5) The shape-up effects on the abdomen, hip, thigh and leg were hardly observed, while the bleed flow on the foot and toe was tended to be suppressed by the strong slothing pressure of high-supportive panty hose around the ankle (Tasura). 6) Sauna suit wearing increased total amounts of sweat and ineffective sweat volume at an ambient temperature of 30゚C. At 24゚C there were not differences in total amounts of sweat between sausa suit wearing and sauna suit ne wearing, but ineffective sweat was larger in suna suit wearing (Okukabo). 7) "Mealthy sandals wearing" seemed to promote skin bleed flow in feet (Tagashi). 8) The compression stooking helped to return the venous blood flowing through the lower extremities to the heart (Watahuki). 9) Skiwear added with special function (SW) inhibited the decrease of skin temperatures at reat and daring light exercise and skiers felt comfortable in a fine day, but the charaoteristies of SW disappeared on a eloudy day (Toehikara). 10) Foot warming wear maintained constancy of deep core temperature and warm skin temperature at 10゚C, improving thermal comfort. Reaction time to light did not decrease to greater extent in cold in foot warming wear (Midorikawa-Tsurutani). 11) Wearing tests of adult's disposable diapers were carried out throughout the whole year, disclosing that there were no differences between disposable and fabric diapers. These results suggest adult's disposable diapers have problems and should be improved (Nakatani). Less
