The purpose of this study is to know the biophysical reaction mainly based on autonomic nervous system during minor oral surgery ;tooth extraction, pulpa extirpation with local anesthesia. The subjects of this study are advanced aged dental patients who complicated with circulatory disease:Hypertension, Cardiac diseases. Monitoring of the patients are FCG, Heart rate, Pulse wave, Respiratory curve, Blood pressure, EEG, GSR et al.used 8 channel polygraph. Results were as follows.: 1.Proportion of the patients who showed abnormal value in laboratory findings:sclerotic findings in ophthalmoscopy, psp test, hemoglobin concentration, neutral fat were high. 2.No severe side effects occurred in used Psycosedation. 3.Systolic blood pressure risen accompanied by treatments in case of local anesthesia only, but in case of intravenous sedation with diazepam, not risen. In case of nitrous-oxide inhaltation sedation, blood pressure change were variable. 4.Heart rates during treatment showed the tenderxy of lowering in sedative cases.Range of heart rates during treatment were extensive in patients of auricular fibrillation in local anesthesia only. 5.Preoperative laboratory examination, monitoring of BD, HR etc. and observation of postoperarive state mere very important for advanced dental patients with circulatory diseases. In addition to this concept, the operator have to take care of patients condition on the appointed day. 6.The relation with plasma catecholamine concentration to circulatory changes during treatment was not clear as yet.
