Research Abstract |
1. This is the final term of our study which we have conducted for 10 years in cooperation with faculty members from 16 universities aiming to adopt MCAT (Medical College Admission Test) Skills analysis in Japan. 2. We found an obvious tendency that Quantitative questions tend to be cognate while each Reading question has its own originality. 3. As the result of our follow-up study, we learned that scores of Skills Analysis are ; (1)to predict academic failure of medical students, (2)to correlate with academic achievement, and (3)to correlate with results of national physician's licensure examination. 4. Therefore, we concluded that it is so desirable to introduce Skills analysis into medical admission test in Japan. 5. We made up both the report of this study and the guideline for making questions (manual).
