Research Abstract

The result of this research is as follows.
The first is the formation of emigrant individual's data base for the first time on the computer. There was the current no research method of duplicating emigrant individual's attribute data. However, the emigrant can research freely by completing the emigrant data base. And, the emigrant data base is opened to the public. Therefore. other emigrant researchers can research freely.
In the former emigrant research, it was said that the group emigrant did not go to oversea between 1868 and 1885. However, the group emigrant to Hawaii was newly found in 1871. This emigrant was does not understand to be present. It will be a research problem in the future.
When the regional characteristic of 122 years of the emigration from Japan is described in a few words, it is as follows.
The emigrant from 1868 to 1885 goes out, of Yokohama and Nagasaki open port at that time. The emigrant goes out of the surrounding of Kanagawa and Nagasaki to Asia a lot.

A lot of the emigrant from 1950 to present went out from Okinawa, Tokyo, Fukuoka, Hokkaido, Kumamoto, and Nagasaki. In Hiroshima and Yamaguchi of prewar days which is the emigrant prefecture, there are not a lot of postwar days.
As mentioned above, the characteristic in the region goes out of the emigrant phenomenon clearly.
In the life history research of the emigrant, it is as follows. The emigrant experience person has already decreased very much. Therefore, it was not possible to interview them. However, I was able to interview man and wife's emigrant experience person at this time. Two life histories were written to this report. It was the valuable data.
