This project is a practical on of multi-racial and multi-cultural people
As you know, the people of Czeco-Slovakia have had much experiences concerning to minority problems, and moreover, after what was called VELVET-REVOLUTION, various new problems have been occuring in this country. The aim of this projects to study its nowadays situations and finally, to investigate the real figures of multi-cultural societies from the view point of comparative cultural studies. I think that the former aim has been accomplished, and as to the latter one, its footing has been gained.
This project is also a cooperative one of Japan-CSFR academic team. And very serious attention to the proceeding of research was necessary for both sides of the cooperation. So, on the first stage of the project, very many messages were exchanged each other, and then, a detail plan was made. Its content was the following.
A. A field study on the life and culture of "roma" in csfr
B. A field study on the life, culture and his
tory of german people in csfr.
C. A field study on the re-emigration of Czec people from the Ukraine
D. field studies concerning above studies
I think the team has succeeded to accomplish them. The schedule of studies were the followings :
The 1st stage -PREPARATION. Very many messages were exchanged each other, and then, a detail plan was made. Three academic meetings were held in Tokyo.
The 2nd stage -FIELD WORK. MATSUDAIRA and ANAMI joined to the stuffs of the institute and researched cooperatively in CSFR. "A", "B" and "D" project are controlled by MATSUDAIRA and "C" by ANAMI.
The 3rd stage -ANALYSIS. The working members of this project devided up their works among them, and analyzed the results of the field works. Three academic meetings were held in Tokyo.
The 4th stage -COMPLEMENTARY FIELD WORK. Additional short field work became to be necessary of "C" project, and so, ANAMI went to CSFR and accomplished "c"project there.
The 5th stage -WRITING ABSTRACT
I think that this project has gained principal knowledges and has clarified the fundamental characters of "multi-races" or "multi-cultures". We, ANAMI and MATSUDAIRA will write some academic papers concerning them soon.
