Research Abstract |
Development of an imaging system for chromosome analysis, particularly fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH), is important for the human genome mapping. This research project aimed for development of an easy-and-cheap digital imaging processor for chromosome mapping : (1) For capture FISH-metaphases as digital imaging we improved a CCD camera and software. (2) Using the improved camera, we also developed and improved software for multicolor FISH-mapping. Our improvements of digital imaging processors by this project have provided more rapid analysis of FISH-signals and chromosomes. However, it is necessary to do more improvement for image enhancements for clearer image and remove background distortions.
