Research Abstract

平成18年度においてはナノ秒マルチレーザーシステムおよびパルスラジオリシス-レーザー複合照射システムを用いることでラジカルの励起状態に特有の反応について検討を行った。具体的には以下に示すとおりである。
1.α-heteroatom substituted β-branched butyrophenone誘導体をレーザー照射するとNorrish type II水素移動により1,4-biradicalが生成する。その寿命はacetonitrile中では置換基に依存せず同等であるが、benzene中では置換基の影響が著しいことを明らかにした。さらにmesyloxyで置換したものではC-O結合解離が起こることを見出した。
2.benzophenoneなどのカルボニルグループを含む化合物を励起すると溶媒などから水素を引抜きketyl radicalを生成する。そのketyl radicalをさらに第二レーザーで励起することでその励起状態を生成した。励起状態の寿命および反応性は置換基により大きく影響されることを見出した。さらに、励起ラジカルからの電子移動過程を検討し、その反応プロセスとして、二種の経路があることを明らかにした。
3.ナフタレンなどのラジカルカチオンは親分子とダイマーラジカルカチオンを生成し、近赤外領域に電荷共鳴に基づく吸収を示す。われわれはナフタレンダイマーラジカルカチオンの電解共鳴帯を第二レーザーで励起するとダイマーラジカルカチオンの解離が起こり、さらに拡散過程によりダイマーラジカルカチオンを再生することを見出した。この過程はパルスラジオリシスにより生成したダイマーラジカルでも確認された。
