Research Abstract |
The purpose of this project is to research the economic activity provoked by philanthropy. Recently, philanthropy becomes more important in Japan, especialy after Hanshin-Awaji Quake. Research project consist of following six approaches. (1) A survey of economic theory for philanthropy. (2) An empirical study of activity of philanthropy in Japan. (3) An empirical study of tax system relating to philanthropy in Japan. (4) An optimal tax approach for tax deduction (5) An empirical study of activity of volunteers in Japan. (6) An institutional research of the desirable social system including NPO.
