Research Abstract |
The development of a small caliber arterial graft is difficult because it need an antithrombogenicity for the patency. The gaft incubated the endtherial cell (hybrid graft) could not be developed because the endtheial cells could not exist on the surface of the graft without of fibroblasts and smooth musle cells. So we developed a small caliber gaft which have following characteristics : (1) ultafine polyester fibers were used for the structual framework, and (2) two kinds of protein were used for biodegradable matrices ; one is cross-linked gelatin-heparin complex as an artficial intima the others heated denatured albumin as an artificial matrix. And the results of the implantation was excellent and we examind the micromorphological changes of the gaft after implantation, which leads farther remold of this graft which has more ex cellent patency.
