In order to obtain some guides for designing the appropriate clothing pressure of support pantyhose, some studies which are body-compression property of lower limbs, personal deviation of clothing pressure of the pantyhose, the distribution of the clothing pressure on lower limbs, changes in the clothing pressure with body movement, and relationships between comfort sensation and clothing pressure, etc., were conducted.
The results were obtained as follows.
1.Body shape is changed by the clothing pressure, and with the results that the surface curvature also did. First, body-compression properties of lower limbs and west were measured, and it was clarified a relationship between the compression property and body shape.
2.Relationships between clothing pressure on lower limbs loaded by pantyhose and body shape were examined using different shape of subjects with standing posture. Further, It was clarified that changes in the clothing pressure with body movement, and hard clothing pressure
make comfort sensation decrease, etc.
3.Clothing pressure values predicted from tensile property of pantyhose cloth closely agreed with that observed from mannequin body with hard materials. However, that observed from human body do not agreed with the predicted values. From this, it was suggested that clothing pressure will be affected by compression property of body wearing the clothing.
4.Hitherto, panty part of pantyhose had not been studied, although the leg part did. So, clothing pressure of the west band was studied. the tensile property and shape of the west hand were examined, and the stretch deformation in wear was measured, furthermore relationships between body shape and clothing pressure were examined.
5.Pantyhose rise small slippage in wear, and the slippage make dermatologic irritation rise. Since the irritation grade depends on the pressure, the grade was examined by a observed method used paraffin. This study was suggested that compressive softness of human body was one of the important factors of clothing pressure. From these results mentioned above, author will plan to continue further to this study, including middle and old women who have less elastic fibers in their skin. Less
