Research Abstract |
In this academic year, for constructing "Study on Human Beings of Market Society", 1. Continued studies on Human and Simmel, 2. Study on the system of Hayek, and 3. Reviews on philosophy, thought, economics and social science had been carried out. As for 1., concentrating on the system of Hume, two papers were made for reading at the academic societies, which rearranged Hume's solid relation among understanding, passion and morality. In addition, the relation between economic activity and convention had been studied. As for 2., Hayek's rules of just conduct had been critically examined and discovered that they tend to have utilitarian aspect. The conclusion turned out that these rules should be tied not with growth of wealth, but with continuous communication between individuals. As for 3., the difficulty derived from the supposition of homo economics had been reviewed, and contrasted with new theory which analyses market society as a composite between markets elements and non market elements. In conclusion, it seems difficult to divide human action definitely into ends and means. But with caution on this point, a lot of concepts of economics seem to be helpful as references. To make sure of a total outline of 1.2.3., a paper titled' Market economy and Human beings' was written.
