(1) Extra High Quality Picture System
We designed 36 bits/pel frame buffer that is a prototype of the extra hith quality image system. The frame buffer will be able to reproduce deep impressions of image, and we can perceive artistical information not only for natual scene also for artistic pictures.
(2) Extra High Quality Test Images
For finding extra high quality, we need test images that are quite different from the traditional test images. New test image should be include extra high quality information which are very high spacial resolution and quantized accuracies. 12 test images were taken by professional photographer and digitized by image scanner with 12 bits/pel for each color components and 2000x2000 pixels.
(3) Picture Quality Scale for Extra High Quality Imaging
We have developed an objective picture quality scale for evaluation of coded color pictures in Munsell uniform color space. This picture quality scale will be able to estimate human assesments with 90% accuracy.
(4) Software of RGB*HVC Color Space Transform
We developed software packages for RGB*HVC color space transform. Accuracy of the transformation is less than 1 NBS color difference.
