Research Abstract |
With a view to collecting oral records concerning to Japanese politics, we interviewed seven persons in the term. Interviews with Mr.Shinich SUZUKI,Mr.Masaharu GOTODA and Mr.Seisuke OKUNO were continuous research with interviews totaled 33 times. Interviews with Mr.Atushi SHIMOKOBE, Mr.Seiki NISHIHIRO,Mr.Minoru KUSUDA and Mr.Hisahiko OKAZAKI were intensive research in the field of Japan-U.S.security relations once for each. The process of the research was as follows. In order to make each interview effective we discussed "what to ask" beforehand and submitted questionnaires to each interviewee. Each interview was some 2hours long and recorded by the stenographer. With the shorthand record we held several meetings for reviewing and making another questionnaires. This process was repeated till whole research is finished. When interviewees and researchers concludedour research was not adequate, we started it over and over. Thus, interviews with Mr.SUZUKI and Mr.GOTODA were continued almost a year. We could not have completed this research without their durable and excessive cooperation. The shorthand records of Mr.SUZUKI and Mr.GOTODA will be published this June and July. We of course plan to publish other books in the future.
