Fukui Rei has conducted field surveys on the phonology, accent and vocabulary of the Jeonrado and Kyeongsangdo dialects of Korean. Special attention has been paid to elucidating the boudary between dialects with pitch accent and those without it. As a result, it was found that the boudary lies across the Jeonranamdo Kwangyang-si.
