Research Abstract |
We proceeded neutrino oscillation experiment CHORUS.This experiment using the neutrino beam of CERN is the experiment of international collaboration of 10 countrys(ltaly, Germany, Holanda, etc). The detector consist of the emulsion target and the counter to identify the particle and momentum. Nagoya University contribute on the emulsion part and many laboratory of Europe contribute on counter parts. Two international conferences were organized in past two years, the first one is "The first Workshop on Nuclear Emulsion Techniques" on 12-14/June 1998 at Nagoya City conference hole, and the second one is the memorial meeting of the completion of "Ultra first Track Selector" on 8-11/March 1999. We succeeded to improve the technology how to use the emulsion in past two years and got the big progress in preparation for the future experiment "Long base line neutrino oscillation".
