Research Abstract

1.4年間の集大成である研究成果を取りまとめ(上下2巻)、150部作成し4年間の特定研究期間中に参加した個々の班員等へ配布した。
2.平成12年7月17日から19日まで京都府京田辺市・京都厚生年金休暇センターで開催された第15回DNA複製ワークショップを援助した。
このワークショップにおいて原核細胞及び真核細胞におけるDNA複製開始、細胞周期制御、DNAの組換、修復、変異の機構に関する日本における研究の現状の報告と将来の展望について活発な討議がなされた。
このワークショップの参加者は約130名あり、37名が口頭発表を行い、27名のポスター発表が行われた。
今まで日本ではDNA複製、組換え、修復、細胞周期等のいくつかのテーマに分かれ研究が組織化され相当な成果をあげてきたが、この研究集会ではこれらの分野の研究者が一堂に集まり、今後の日本の研究の方向性と再組織化について深夜まで討論が行われ大きな成果があった。
