Research Abstract |
ICG-sulfo-OSu (ICG N-hydroxy sulfo succinimide ester), as the labeling material that is fluorescent on excitation with infrared ray(IR) (Bioorg Med Chem Letters 1995 ; 5 : 2689-94, Bioorganic &Medicinal Chemistry 6(11) : 2179-2184, 1998) and the imaging system for IR fluorecent microscope(Dig Endosc 1997 ; 278-82) were developed in this experiment. The intensity of fluorescence of ICG-sulfo-OSu is too low for detection of microlesions by IR imaging system. Therefore, in the present study, we developed an imaging system using a highly sensitive charge-coupled-device (ICCD) (Digestive Endoscopy 11, 1999 (in press)) and the reinforcement agents (Bioorganic &Medicinal Chemistry 6(5) : 613-618, 1998) that can be used to image this labeling substance at the tissue level. Therefore, provide the fact that some antibodies which are specific to cancer cells can detect cancer cells by IR fluorescence also by using such antibodies bound with ICG.(J Gastroenterol 1998 ; 33 : 467-71. J.Medical Investigation 46, 1999 (in press), Digestive Endoscopy 11, 1999 (in press))
