| Research Abstract |
1. Market-economy in Yantai area has been a long-run economic growth for the last twenty years ever since "Reform of China".
2. The economic growth of Yantai has been mainly supported by both secondary industry and tertiary industry. In primary industry, traditional small farm house has been doing business in activity. Especially farm goods business is brisk.
3. State enterprises have still strong economic power in Yantai, but its labor productivity is yet at low level. Private enterprises are small-to-medium sized and its economic power is so weak. Excepted from foreign companies and domestic companies in co-operation with its foreign companies, both secondary industry and tertiary industry are in a poor step. The switchover of out-of-date industries to newly rising industries is not yet finished in many sections in Yantai.
4. Foreign companies have been up to the standard level of labor productivity and have a lead over the rest of Yantai in technology. The many technology are not home-made goods but foreign-made goods. But They are not sophisticated technology, therefore they bring about the labor intensive production style in Yantai. That kind of foreign companies pull the industries of Yantai. That is the outstanding characteristic of industrial structure in Yantai.
5. Such a market-economy and an industrial structure of China are understood to mean that China economy is one of various market-economy systems rather than simply inexperienced or backward area of capitalist economy, because the people of various culture bring various market-economy systems into existence.
