1. Improvement of the compact electron bean ion source (micro-EBIS) :
In order to obtain more highly ionized ions, some improvements have tried to the proto-type micro-EBIS. A strong and 1 cm long uniform magnetic field have been generated. But the transmission of the electron beam was lowered. Therefore re-examination such as electric potential distribution, etc., will be performed.
2. Measurement of charge transfer cross sections by ィイD13ィエD1HeィイD12+ィエD1 ions in collisions with NィイD22ィエD2, OィイD22ィエD2, CO, COィイD22ィエD2, CHィイD24ィエD2, CィイD22ィエD2HィイD22ィエD2, CィイD22ィエD2HィイD26ィエD2, CィイD23ィエD2HィイD28ィエD2 molecules :
We have measured the single- and double-charge transfer cross sections for the above collision systems at energies between 0.6 and 8 keV by means of the growth rate method. The present results are found to be consistent with the previous data measured by other group. The present double-charge transfer cross sections show a weak energy dependence and depend strongly on the number of el
ectrons with the target molecules.
3. Measurement of charge transfer cross sections in collisions of NeィイD12 - 5+ィエD1ions - CHィイD24ィエD2, CィイD22ィエD2HィイD22ィエD2, CィイD22ィエD2HィイD24ィエD2, CィイD22ィエD2HィイD26ィエD2, CィイD23ィエD2HィイD24ィエD2[Allene], CィイD23ィエD2HィイD24ィエD2[Propyne], CィイD23ィエD2HィイD26ィエD2, (CHィイD22ィエD2)ィイD23ィエD2, CィイD23ィエD2HィイD28ィエD2 and of ArィイD12 - 9+ィエD1ions - CHィイD24ィエD2, CィイD22ィエD2HィイD26, CィイD23ィエD2HィエD2ィイD28ィエD2 :
We have measured the single- and multiple-charge transfer cross sections for the above collision systems at 2q keV in energy (q : charge number of projectiles). Seven times charge transfer cross sections have been derived for ArィイD19+ィエD1 - CィイD23ィエD2HィイD28ィエD2 collisions. The present single- and total-charge transfer cross sections lie near the previous scaling law. The q-dependence of the present multiple-charge transfer cross sections for Ar ions is very similar to those for previous data of Kr and Xe recoil ions. On the contrary, cross section values for Ne ions decrease with increasing the number of electron transfer k. Therefore, scaling rule for Ne ions and for Ar, Kr and Xe ions must be made individually. We will measure the charge transfer cross sections for Ar ions with other hydrocarbon molecules. We will examine the difference of multiple-charge transfer cross sections for Ne ions.
