The targets of this research are as follows,
(1)Bringing to completion of the Conformace Test System (CTS) of HBS-layer7 and extending it to the Remort HBS-CTS by using LSDN.
(2)Estimating the performance of HBS as the future multimedia home bus by transmitting the high compressed image data.
(3)Developing the new BBS used PHS.
We almost complete the development of HBS-CTS of layer7. Then, we develop the gateway of HBS-ISDN.Furthermore, we almost complete the Remote HBS-CTS of layer3 & 7 used ISDN. The degree of achievement of this target is about 90%.
We propose a new image compression method which called Learning Motion Vector Quantization (LMVQ) and obtain the sufficient good results by comparing to MPEGI.Furthermore, we develop the another gateway of IEEE1394-Internet(TCP/IP) because the transmition speed of IEEE1394 (400Mbps) is faster than BBS(9600bps). The degree of achievement of this target is about 70%.
We can not complete this target. This is suspended as the future ploblem.
Hereafter, we are going to construct the high speed home bus system by applying the IEEE1394. Then, we will expand it to the Remote Home Health Care System. The digital camera and health care sensors are connected to the home bus and gateway. Then, the video data are transmitted to the hospital by using internet and CATY.
As the research achievements of this 2 years. we published 2 papers, 3 international cof, 3 major cof. and 6 oral presentations. Presently, we just prepare to submit the 2 papers (IEEE Trans. & the Trans. of the lEE of Japan).
