Research Abstract |
Laminin increases pathologically in the diseases as hypertension, cardiomyopathy and diabetes mellitus. We have been examined the transcription mechanisms of laminin B2 chain gene promoter and found out one motif, in the laminin promoter, which binds the promoter and activates laminin transcription. According to the research project, we performed the screening of the mouse cDNA library using yeast one-hybrid system to clone a transcription factor which binds and activates laminin gene promoter. As a result, we cloned three transcription factors which bind in vitro EMSA assay and activate its promoter using luciferase reporter assay. We are now preparing for submission of the paper using for those results.
