Research Abstract

Youngおよび佐々木は,可解低次元物理系のいくつかの側面について研究し,多くのめざましい結果を得た.Youngは,simply-lacedアファイン量子群の基本表現のq-指標と,戸田場の理論の相互作用を規定するDoreyの規則の間に簡単な関係のあることを明らかにした(CMP掲載決定),また,弦理論に関係した問題として,AdS_5xS^5背景を大きい角運動量を持って最大の巨大重力子にまで伝播する自由開弦を記述する散乱理論を,入れ子のベーテ仮説を用いて解いた.弦のスペクトルと,対応する場の異常次元を見つけた(J. Phys. A).更に,標準的なアファインsl(2)量子代数のカルタン部分代数の構造の決定,q,t指標の構造を明らかにした.量子アファイン代数の有限次元表現に関連して,極小アファイン化を含む新しい完全系列を見つけた.佐々木は,可解1次元量子力学系の無限個の新しい例を提出した.対応する固有関数は,ラゲール多項式およびジャコビ多項式を変形した,4種類の無限個の例外直交多項式になっている.更に,1次元「離散」量子力学系の変形から,連続ハーン,ウィルソン,アスキー・ウィルソン多項式の変形に対応する,無限個の可解系を見つけた.対応する固有関数は,例外型連続ハーン,ウィルソン,アスキー・ウィルソン多項式になっている.対応するフックス型の方程式の特徴,解空間の構造,形状不変性の証明,ボホナーの定理との関係などを明らかにした.ダルブー・クラム変換を通じての,変形の方法により,見やすい結果を示した.
