Research Abstract

基本的なテーマである、身体化認知科学の研究を,特に2人以上の社会的なネットワークの中で考察していく、それを進めていくことが出来た。身体性認知科学とは、人の知覚とは外部から勝手にやってくる情報をパッシブに受け止めることではなく、自分で積極的に動くことである。つまり知覚と、自律的な身体運動は等価である。
こうした身体性認知科学の視点をさまざまな機会で発表し、また認知実験やモデル実験で示すことができた。例えばAndy ClarkのBehav.Brain Sci.に対するコメント論文、Frontiers in Human Neuroscienceへの論文、あるいは国際会議での招待講演の中で主張してきた。
具体的な実験として、知覚交差実験を新たに構築しなおすこともできた。これは、人を被験者としてコンピュータのスクリーン越しに触覚による対話をさせる実験である。仮想空間上の同じところに指があると、指先にはめたデバイスに刺激が生じるが、それは相手じゃなくてその仮想空間上の静止物に触っても生じてしまう。また、あいての本当の指の影に接触しても刺激が生じる。この静止物や影と、本物の相手の指を区別できるかどうか、がここでの実験である。この対話相互作用を繰り返し、この実験を行い、いつどういうタイミングでマウスをクリックするか、それが正しいか、またそのときに相手であることがはっきり知覚できたか(Perceptual Awareness Scale=PASという)、をアンケートで調べたりした。この結果、正しいクリックが高いPASを伴うことなどを発見することができた。これはひき続いて研究中である。この認知実験を説明する力学系モデルの研究は、論文として受理されている。
