Research Abstract |
Our assignments in the final year of this research project is the following, 1) What could be achieved and abondoned by the idea of "Art" in modem Japan ? 2) What is the reason that the modem idea of "Art" predistined to come to an end ? 3) What could still be developed in Japanese own idea of"Art", turning into a grobal jstem of"uni-culture" at present ? 4) Is it confined to Japan, or unive rs al phenom enon ? This is the abstract of conclusion; 1) The "Art" originated in the occidental idea had been popular in the world for 100years since the middle of the l 9th century. 2) The idea caused a cas e of the Identity loss for many communities in the world, natmlly to Japan. 3) Afler the WW2, each community has appearcd to reidentify as one's own. 4) Reidentification is not the restoration of western tradition, but the abs orbtion of"the past idea of Art" into one. 5) Although it has mcceded in "the affairs" of Art, not yet in "the concepts" of Art. 6) The chaingjng idcas of "Art" in Japan represents the subversion of the western aesthetic theory, which had pervaded ovcr for 2500 years.
