Research Abstract

チタンサファイアフェムト秒レーザーの基本波出力を、分子線中の分子に照射し、解離性多重電離によって生成する娘イオンの反跳速度ベクトルを速度マップ二次元画像観測法によって測定する新しい質量分析法を開発した。同手法は、娘イオンの速度ベクトルが親分子の構造について有用な情報を与えることから、構造の似通っている分子を質量分析した際に、解離性電離によって同じような娘イオンを発生しても、反跳速度ベクトルから化学種の同定が可能になる可能性がある。本研究では、N2Oから生成する窒素原子とOCSから発生する硫黄原子の速度マップを比較し、前者が3つの分布、後者が2つの分布になることから分子内に同一元素が一つあるか二つあるかまで判定できることを示した。また、フェムト秒の時間分解能で行う、光電子画像観測法をも開発した。同手法によって、ピラジン分子の光イオン化動力学を詳細に検討した。
