Research Abstract

Ketamine increased dopamine release in the nucleus accumbens, while pentobarbital decreased one. Furthermore, pentobarbital inhibited the ketamine-induced increase. Ketamine-induced c-Fos expression in the posterior cingulate cortex was inhibited by rimcazol but not by haloperidol, and was less in the NMDA receptor knockout mice.
