ces, contents, number of periods, and the environment, in an attempt to evaluate the educational effect of the nursing information course. As a result, the following points have been suggested ; 1.The examination and the agreement on the contents of the subject relating to information in a broad sense (epidemiology, information science, statistics, research on nursing, etc.) is necessary to bring up the talent which can implement the evidence-based nursing (EBN). 2. It is desirable to implement with consideration to the academic year by teaching basic matters about the nursing information in relatively early years and teaching the system and the handling of the clinical nursing data along the clinical training. 3. By preparing the educational environment with computer exercise and providing the experience in internet communication, the educational effect can be expected to some extent even with short period of learning. 4. The basic computer literacy varies widely between the students, and therefore it is desirable to provide the subject as an elective course., and it is necessary in the continuous education to respond meticulously depending on the needs of each nurse. 5. The observation of the actual system and the use of simulation softwares are effective in helping understand the actual computer system such as the hospital information system. Less
