Research Abstract

2011年3月11日に発生した東日本大震災津波は東北地方を中心として甚大な人的・物的被害をもたらした他に, 大規模な海浜地形変化の変化ももたらしている. 本研究では, 津波の流動モデルを用い, 東日本大震災津波による土砂移動の再現を通じて, モデルの検証, および必要に応じてモデルの改善を行うことを目的としている.
今年度は研究の最終年度であり, これまでの研究の進捗を踏まえて予定通りに研究を終えた. まず, 昨年度の研究活動で選定したサイトとして宮城県東松島市における石巻海岸を研究対象とした. この海域を対象にして, 一昨年開発した数値モデルを適用し, 仮想的に海岸堤防の高さを4段階(0m, 1m, 3m, 5m)に変化させ, 津波の遡上に伴う流速値, せん断力, シールズ数などを数値シミュレーションにより求めた. モデルは水表面の計算にVOF法を使用し, 乱流モデルとしてk-εモデルを連立させることにより, 境界層の特性を数値計算に取り込んでいる. 数値計算により, 海岸堤防高さの増加に従って, 海域でのよどみ領域が拡がり, 海域における侵食が低減することが分かった. このように, 海岸堤防が堤内地での氾濫の低減のみならず, 海域における侵食をも低減できることは新たな構造物の価値としてきわめて興味深い知見である.
これらの成果を, 第35回国際水理学会(平成25年9月, 中国・成都), 第12回河川土砂移動シンポジウム(平成25年9月, 京都)などにおいて発表を行った.
