Research Abstract

前年度までに、鉄系超伝導体Ba (Fe_<1-x>, Co_x)_2As_2における磁束ダイナミクスを磁気緩和測定によつて決定し、さらに点欠陥導入による変化を追うことによってvortex(量子化磁束)と欠陥の間の相互作用を定量的に議論してきた。ここで点欠陥はプロトン照射を用いることによって相関のない、ランダムな分布となるようにした。一方で、一次元的な相関をもつ欠陥はvortexが一次元的であることからそれとの間に非常に強い引力相互作用が働くと考えられ、結果的に大きな臨界電流密度、小さな磁気緩和率を実現することが期待される。実際、銅酸化物系高温超伝導体では重イオン照射によって柱状欠陥を導入した系においてBoseグラス相と呼ばれる特異な磁束状態が実現していることが理論、実験両面から示されている。このBoseグラス状態は鉄系超伝導体でも実現することが期待されるが、これまでにその実現の証拠が観測された例は皆無であった。鉄系超伝導体におけるBoseグラス相実現確認は磁場を柱状欠陥と平行にした状態での臨界電流密度あるいは磁気緩和の振る舞いから決定しようとするものばかりであった。そこで注目したのは磁化の角度依存性である。これは磁場を柱状欠陥の方向に対して角度θ傾けた状態における磁化を測定し、vortexと柱状欠陥の間の相互作用を検証しようとするものである。Boseグラス相が実現している場合、θがゼロでないある有限の大きさであつてもvortexが柱状欠陥にピン止めされ続け、磁束が磁場の方向ではなく柱状欠陥の方向を向いた状態を保つ、磁束ロックインという状態が実現する。これはすなわち磁場がθ=0付近で磁化の角度依存性がなくなることに対応している。このプラトー構造を鉄系超伝導体において実験で観測することに世界で初めて成功した。プラトーの角度幅はBoseグラス理論が予測する磁場の強さの逆数に比例する振る舞いを示しており、まさにBoseグラス相が実現していることに由来すると結論づけられる。この内容はPhysical Review B誌に掲載された。
